The Port Townsend Police Department is a law enforcement organization whose role is to protect the areas and citizens of Port Townsend and its visitors. The Department's responsibility is to provide assistance to the public and to gain their cooperation and compliance with established regulations, ordinances and laws.

The Port Townsend Police Department is continually testing for Police Officers.

The Port Townsend Police Department supports the Washington State Higher Education Board and their efforts. We facilitate Veterans benefits for those officers we hire who are eligible for additional funding through the Veterans Administration.
