Residential
burglaries and malicious mischief incidents
The Port Townsend Police Department is seeking
information on a series of residential burglaries and
malicious mischief incidents that appear to be related.
Several residences have been
entered through unlocked doors and windows. Once inside,
suspects are stealing mostly cash, medications, and some
small electronics. These burglaries appear to be
happening both during the daytime hours and during
nighttime hours. Most recently (March 2010), the North
Beach area has been targeted, but others areas of Port
Townsend have been affected as well. The total loss as a
result of these burglaries has run over $49,000.00.

Counterfeit $100 bills
The Port Townsend Police
are seeking information about who has been passing
counterfeit $100 bills within Port Townsend (PTPD case
#10-0062). A Hispanic male is described as being in his
twenties, about 5’4" to 5’7" with short black hair that
has "kind of a spike" to it, a Hispanic accent and a
"bright white smile". Victims report the man is very
cordial and polite. He typically attempts to purchase a
lower cost item and pay with a counterfeit $100 bill,
pocketing the real money he receives as change. One
victim reports she saw this suspect drive away in a
white pick-up.
