Business License

Apply for, Add, Renew or Search for a Business License.

The City of Port Townsend has contracted with the Washington State Department of Licensing to provide business registration services. Businesses are able to apply for a City of Port Townsend business registration when they apply with the State for their Unified Business Identification Number (UBI). 
   
Start here to Apply for a Washington state business license. If you are doing business within the Port Townsend city limits, you can add the Port Townsend license when you are applying for your Master Business License (UBI).  
   
Start here if you already have a Master Business License (UBI) and only need to Add the City of Port Townsend registration. 
   Then click on File a Master Business Application. 
   After you log in, the next screen is the “Purpose of Application”. 
   Check only the box “Add State and/or City License to Existing Location”.
     (Doing this will bring up less screens that you have to fill out) 
   Then click continue, and finish filling out application.
