Mountain View Dog Park

Dog park aerial view fall 2023

The Mountain View Dog Park, 1925 Blaine Street, was first opened in 2019 and is located on the grounds of Mountain View Commons. The park is approximately one acre total with two large enclosures for big/active/social dogs and a small enclosure for small/old/shy dogs. Hours of use are dawn to dusk seven days a week unless otherwise posted. Dog park rules are posted at the park entrance; please follow them for everyone's safety and comfort. Park supporters are working to provide additional amenities for users. Note that Jefferson Transit allows well-behaved, leashed dogs on buses (at the driver's discretion) and there is a stop right in front of Mountain View Commons (Route 11, Port Townsend Shuttle).

Update: October 2, 2023

Mountain View Dog Park Annual Maintenance

A section of Mountain View Dog Park closest to Blaine Street will be closed for annual maintenance beginning October 2, 2023 until Spring 2024. City Parks Staff will be working on establishing grass on the hillside to prevent any further erosion and to mitigate safety concerns from walking up and down the hillside. The other two sections will be open for all dogs during this time, please see new signage as you enter the park.

Chetzemoka Dog Park is also open for all dogs at 1243 Hudson St.
